Add a new Snyk connector
This task requires either the Connector Administrator or Super Administrator role in ConductorOne.
In ConductorOne, open Admin and click Connectors > Add connector.
Search for Snyk and click Add.
Choose whether to add the new Snyk connector as a data source to an existing application (and select the app of your choice) or to create a new application.
Do you SSO into Snyk using your identity provider (IdP)? If so, make sure to add the connector to the Snyk app that was created automatically when you integrated your IdP with ConductorOne, rather than creating a new app.
Set the owner for this connector. You can manage the connector yourself, or choose someone else. Setting multiple owners is allowed.
A Snyk connector owner must have the following permissions:
- Connector Administrator or Super Administrator role in ConductorOne
- Service or user account in Snyk with admin permissions (Snyk advises using a service account for integrations)
- Click Next.
Next steps
If you are the connector owner, proceed to Configure your Snyk connector.
If someone else is the connector owner, ConductorOne will notify them by email that their help is needed to complete the setup process.
Configure your Snyk connector
A user with the Connector Administrator or Super Administrator role in ConductorOne and access to a service or user account in Snyk with admin permissions on the Group you’re integrating must perform this task.
Step 1: Look up your account’s Snyk API token
In Snyk, navigate to the Account Settings page.
Click General.
In the KEY field, click to display the account API token.
Carefully copy and save the API token. We’ll use it in Step 3.
Step 2: Look up your Snyk Group ID
In Snyk, navigate to the group Settings page and click General.
In the Group ID section of the page, carefully copy and save the group ID. We’ll use it in Step 3.
Step 3: Add your Snyk credentials to ConductorOne
In ConductorOne, navigate to the Snyk connector by either:
Clicking the Set up connector link in the email you received about configuring the connector.
Navigate to Admin > Connectors > Snyk (if there is more than one Snyk listed, click the one with your name listed as owner and the status Not connected).
Find the Settings area of the page and click Edit.
Paste the API key you looked up in Step 1 into the API key field.
Paste the Group ID you looked up in Step 2 into the Group ID field.
Optional. If you want ConductorOne to only sync access data from specific Snyk organizations, enter the organization names in the Org IDs field.
If you leave this field blank, ConductorOne will sync data from all organizations.
Click Save.
The connector’s label changes to Syncing, followed by Connected. View the logs to ensure that information is syncing.
That’s it! Your Snyk connector is now pulling access data into ConductorOne.
